The Cedar Hill Parks and Recreation Department maintains 30 public park properties on approximately 692.25 acres with lots of public amenities including:

Valley Ridge Park provides organized playing fields for softball, soccer, and football, three playgrounds, hike and bike trails, and an outdoor amphitheater that seats 2,000 people.

Crawford Park has a public swimming pool, picnic facilities, playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, and soccer practice fields with plenty of parking for events.

Lester Lorch Nature Preserve is a special use nature preserve with a challenging 36-hole disc golf course for tournaments and casual play, plus trails, ponds, and picnic tables.
